Dr. Ajay Soni is the National President of ACBM and he is also founder member of ACBM. He has successfully represented the entire fraternity of Medical (clinical) Microbiologists, Biochemists, Geneticists, and Medical Laboratory Research Scientists under ACBM at National Council Meetings for Clinical Establishment Act (CEA) at Delhi and had meetings at Hon. Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), India for the overall betterment of healthcare in the country. He is Founder and Ex-Secretary of Central India Surgical Dealers Association. He is in the National Board of QCI’s NABL and in QAI’s Medical Laboratory Council; with both having European Accreditation and Affiliations. He is also a member of Maharashtra Govt’s committee formed for framing guidelines for `Registration and Regulation of Medical (clinical) Labs in Maharashtra State. 

Profession:

He is CEO of Soni Clinical Laboratory, at Nagpur, Maharashtra, India. He is Professor at AECRT, All India Ethical Clinical Research and Training, Nagpur (Govt. Recognized) for Post Graduate Clinical Research & Training. He has been visiting Professor at Post-Graduate Department of Biochemistry, LIT, Nagpur for Clinical Biochemistry and Genetics. Visiting Professor in Govt Recognized `Institute of Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology’ at Nagpur. He is trainer on Implementation of Quality Control Techniques in Pathology Labs. He has researched on QC Management at Point of Care (POC) Testing, and has International Research papers. He is well versed with International Quality Control Mechanisms, ISO Guidelines Training. 

Academic:

He has rich knowledge of Pharmacy, Microbiology and Clinical Biochemistry, with his D.Pharmacy and Master’s with Doctorate (PhD) in Clinical Biochemistry. His area of research was also in Molecular biology and his post-doctoral research is in clinical biochemistry and he had the honor of being research co-guide to many doctoral holders now.  Dr.Soni’s Doctor of Philosophy, Title is “Strategies for Evaluation and Implementation of Quality Assurance System and Modification of Assay Methods in Clinical Chemistry Laboratories.” 

Hobbies:

In his school days he has represented and won medals in athletics while during college days he has been avid Skeet-Shooter and Glider-flyer with being senior-most Cadet Under- Officer in Air-Wing National Cadet Corps. 

Social service:

He has been actively involved in many social works around healthcare and has been recognized as Asset as `Covid Warrior’ by NMC, Maharashtra Govt for significant contribution during Covid times! 

He is feeling humbled by being able to contribute in social, professional, and academic arenas of his fraternity!
